Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited in Cullompton is seeking a customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the sale of Christmas trees and day-to-day yard operations. This hands-on role involves maintaining a safe, tidy and welcoming environment while working with colleagues across the business.

You will help with stock handling, POS support, and contributing to excellent customer service during busy periods. The contract is temporary, part-time weekends, about 13 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard/retail environment.
• Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial).
• Forklift licence advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Good IT skills and confidence using systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Awareness of GDPR and Health & Safety standards.
• Friendly, self-motivated, adaptable, team player.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
• Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently
• Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
• Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation
• Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews
• Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity
• Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations

Compensation: £10.85 - £12.71 / hour

Description

We’re looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support with the sale of Christmas Trees & the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

About The Role

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Part-time Weekend

Hours of Work: 13 Hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday

As a Yard Team Member, you’ll play a key role in the sale of Christmas Trees, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You’ll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard

• Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
