Job summary

Jewson in the United Kingdom is seeking a customer-focused team member to join our yard and shop floor operations. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 7:30–17:00, with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00, supporting customers with quick, efficient service.

You will maintain high standards across the yard and store, operate equipment safely, and contribute to sales and service improvements. Training will be provided for forklift use and product knowledge development.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience in retail or yard environment.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and understand needs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles, both manually and with forklift (training provided).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service

• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
