Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK, operating Jewson outlets, is hiring for a full-time customer service role in Orpington. You will welcome customers, identify needs, maintain standards across yard and shop floor, and support sales initiatives.

On-site duties include loading/unloading, operating machinery with forklift training provided, and building knowledge of core and specialist product ranges. The role offers a competitive salary, benefits, and pension.

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
