Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a Yard Sales Advisor at our Northallerton branch (DL7 8EE). This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 7:30am–5pm, with alternate Saturdays 8am–12pm.

You will greet customers, identify needs and provide efficient, friendly service on the yard, counter and shop floor. Training is provided for forklift operation and loading/unloading, with opportunities to grow product knowledge and build strong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor at our Northallerton (DL7 8EE) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5pm, and every other Saturday from 8am - 12pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service

• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs

• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor

• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles

• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required

• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs

• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
