Job summary

Normans is seeking a motivated yard team member in the UK to deliver outstanding customer service and efficiently manage yard, counter and shop floor operations.

You will be trained to operate machinery and assist with loading/unloading, restocking and order picking, while developing product knowledge and building strong customer relationships for repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)

Working hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm and some Saturdays 7.30am – 12pm

What You’ll Be Doing

As a part of our yard team, you will be:
