Job summary

Jewson's East Kilbride branch is recruiting a Yard Sales Advisor in a full-time role. Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, and every other Saturday 8am–12pm, with training provided for forklift operation and loading duties.

You'll welcome customers, assess needs, and build strong relationships while maintaining high standards across yard, counter and shop floor. A positive team player with good communication will thrive in this busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or yard sales is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving East Kilbride (G74 5BT) branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm, and every other Saturday from 8am - 12pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
