Job summary

Jewson in Glasgow (Bearsden Road) is recruiting a Yard Sales Advisor to help customers and operate the yard and shop floor.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 9:30am–17:00pm, with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00; training on forklift and loading provided.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge customers, ascertain needs and deliver quick, efficient service.

• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service.
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our Glasgow (Bearsden Road, G13 1EP) branch! At Jewson, part of Stark UK, we believe that our greatest asset is our people! This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 9:30am – 17:00pm (we can be flexible), and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
