Job summary

Jewson in Glasgow (Bearsden Road) is seeking a Yard Sales Advisor to deliver quick, friendly service and build relationships with customers across the yard, counter and shop floor. A full-time role with Monday–Friday 9:30am–5:00pm (flexible) and Saturday mornings is included.

Training for forklift operation is provided. You will join a supportive team with opportunities for development, a competitive salary, 34 days holiday, a pension, life assurance and employee discounts through Reward Gateway

Qualifications

• Customer service experience that focuses on understanding and solving customer needs.
• Ability to ask open questions to identify current and future requirements.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain needs and wow with quick service.
• Ask open questions to build relationships and understand current and future requirements.
• Maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor.
• Operate machinery safely and perform offloading, picking, packing and restocking.
• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service.
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
• Loading and unloading vehicles with forklift (training provided).
