Job summary

Ripon Farm Services Ltd in the North of England seeks a Workshop Service Supervisor to coordinate the service workload and ensure high-quality repairs for agricultural machinery.

You will lead Technicians, allocate tasks by skill, monitor efficiency, and ensure timely invoicing while upholding safety and service processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in a service role or supervision, strong communication, knowledge of John Deere products, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as a Service Technician or in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and listen to their needs.
• Plan and allocate work for Technicians based on their skills.
• Direct and assist Technicians to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Check completed jobs and invoice parts and labour promptly.
• Maintain workshop efficiency and review KPI performance.
• Ensure service processes, policies and guidelines are followed and applied safely.
• Manage special tool inventory and recommend new tools if necessary.
• Maintain clean, safe workshop and supervise team.
• Share daily discussions with Group Service Manager to review workshop performance.
• Coordinate training with Group Service Manager and ensure tasks align with expertise.
• Manage relationships with John Deere and manufacturer personnel.
• Handle customer complaints pertinent to the department.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring and developing key talent.
• Promote Ripon Farm Services and John Deere with professionalism.
