Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Workshop Controller to join a reputable main dealer in Barnstaple, overseeing a busy service operation and driving efficiency throughout the workshop.

This senior position emphasises leadership, coordination and operational excellence, with Monday–Friday hours, MOT oversight, parts and health & safety compliance, and a genuine opportunity to develop a capable service team.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory/managerial experience in a motor trade workshop.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to drive a team.
• Ability to organise and motivate a workshop team.
• Professional approach with focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations ensuring workflow efficiency and high service standards.
• Coordinate technicians and service advisors to maximise productivity.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and foster a positive team environment.
• Assist with training and developing team members to improve performance.
• Oversee job allocation, parts ordering, and health & safety compliance.
• Support MOT testing and other workshop activities to ensure smooth operations.
