Job summary

CLdN is recruiting a Workshop Manager to lead a growing team in a busy workshop responsible for repairs and maintenance of road trailers, containers and RoRo line equipment. You will plan workloads, ensure safety and quality, and work to LOLER, PUWER and manufacturer guidance.

You will liaise with operations and other stakeholders, drive cost control and efficiency, and mentor apprentices while supporting international projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technicians or engineers in a busy workshop or maintenance environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proactive problem solving with knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Welding and electrics experience preferred.
• Flexible approach and ability to travel to Belgium/Holland occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing team in a busy workshop.
• Plan workload, monitor performance, ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain workshop operations, repairs and maintenance of road trailers and line equipment.
• Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to maximise equipment availability.
• Support apprentices and training; manage admin and stores.
