Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd is seeking a skilled Workshop Foreman to lead our workshop team. You will plan workloads, assign jobs and mentor technicians and apprentices to maintain high productivity and quality workmanship across the department.

The role demands hands-on expertise in servicing, diagnostics and repairs, with a focus on safety, compliance and timely delivery. You will liaise with service advisors and management to keep downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet environments.
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and uphold safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations.
• Plan workloads and allocate jobs to technicians.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time, safe completion.
• Provide hands-on technical support for diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintain high quality control standards.
• Develop technicians and apprentices.
• Prioritise urgent repairs and minimise downtime.
• Liaise with service advisors, parts, suppliers and management.
• Ensure tools and facilities are well maintained.
• Complete job cards and compliance documentation.
• Promote safe working practices and cleanliness.
