Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in Dartford is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead the aftersales workshop, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and targets are met. You will manage technicians, coordinate service and repairs, and deliver outstanding customer service face-to-face and over the phone.

With a strong focus on teamwork, communication and efficiency, you will drive profits and customer satisfaction while upholding the group's values.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills for face-to-face and phone customer interactions.
• Experience in a motor/automotive dealership environment is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with strong time-management and detail focus.
• Experience managing a workshop and leading technicians is desirable.

Working in our aftersales department as a Workshop Manager you will be a key part of the Retail Centre. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to deal with customers face to face or over the phone, providing an outstanding customer service to all customers.

What you’ll do day to day

• Responsible for the day to day running of the workshop
• Ensuring the service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets
• Assisting the service managers in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to the customers
• Achieves agreed profits and retention levels

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Motor Industry experience in a similar role is essential
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work to timescales effectively
• Keen eye for detail, good communication and a passion for delivering great customer service
• Experience in a main dealer environmentStrong industry knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure
