Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in Macclesfield is seeking a Workshop Controller for the Volkswagen aftersales team. You’ll manage daily workshop operations, ensuring technicians hit targets and deliver outstanding customer service to customers.

We value independence and teamwork, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. A full UK driving licence and experience in a main dealer are preferred; flexible working options are available within our large UK automotive group.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills required.
• Motor industry experience in a similar role is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a main dealer environment is advantageous.
• Strong industry knowledge and understanding of workshop flow.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

Working in our aftersales department as a Workshop Controller you will be a key part of the Retail Centre. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to deal with customers face to face or over the phone, providing an outstanding customer service to all customers.

What you’ll do day to day

• Responsible for the day to day running of the workshop
• Ensuring the service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets
• Assisting the service managers in ensuring the department provides the best possible service to the customers
• Achieves agreed profits and retention levels
