Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is recruiting for a Trade Hub Manager – Mercedes-Benz Nottingham to oversee day‑to‑day parts operations across our busy workshop and growing trade function. You will coordinate with Bodyshop and Aftersales teams, guiding a hands‑on, results‑driven leadership style to empower locally informed decisions and sustained performance.

We value strong automotive experience, strategic KPI review, and the ability to adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience within the automotive industry is essential.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with experience in high-level reporting.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, where you have responded quickly to changing business needs.
  • An open and approachable leadership style, with experience in leading, motivating, and coaching managers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee parts operations for a busy workshop and expanding trade function.
  • Communicate with and motivate the Bodyshop and Aftersales teams.
  • Lead the team with a hands-on, visible approach to drive performance.
  • Direct and prioritise resources to ensure parts operations run efficiently.
  • Develop and drive strategic decisions for the Parts function.
  • Regularly review KPIs and address risks or negative performance.
  • Conduct quarterly performance and development reviews with clear goals.
  • Continually assess and implement process improvements across the Parts department.

Working in our parts department as a Trade Parts Manager you will be a key part of the Retail Centre. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to deal with customers face to face or over the phone, providing an outstanding customer service to all customers.

What you’ll do day to day
  • Oversee parts operations for a busy workshop and an ambitious, expanding trade function, supporting current trade vans and future growth plans.
  • Effectively communicate with and motivate theBodyshop and Aftersales teams, adapting to the changing needs of the business.
  • Proactively lead the team with ahands‑on, visible approach, empowering them to make the right local decisions to drive performance.
  • Direct and prioritise resources to ensure parts operations runefficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and drivestrategic decisionsfor the Parts function to meet current and future business needs.
  • Regularly review KPIs, identifying trends and working with managers to swiftly address any risks or negative performance.
  • Conduct quarterly performance and development reviews, setting clear goals, expectations, and follow‑up actions.
  • Continually assess and implementprocess and performance improvementsacross the Parts department.
