Arnold Clark is recruiting a Workshop Controller for our Aberdeen branch to work with the Service Manager and lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, first-time repairs in a fast-paced environment.

The role suits an organised, proactive automotive professional with experience managing workshop workflows, meeting deadlines and driving customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an automotive workshop and managing technicians.
• Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines while delivering quality work.
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT literacy and familiarity with workshop management systems.
• Ability to coach and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of vehicle technicians and apprentices to meet targets.
• Ensure servicing work is completed accurately, on time, and to standard.
• Ensure compliance with company, DVSA, health and safety and manufacturer policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless service to customers.
• Schedule work to balance workshop targets, job complexity and parts availability.
• Provide estimates for servicing and repairs and set timescales.
• Record technician time and write technical reports and recommendations.
