Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a Workshop Controller at our Newcastle branch to drive productivity and ensure first-time repairs meet high standards. You will lead technicians and apprentices, coaching the team to hit targets while maintaining a safe and efficient workshop.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service/repair operations.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage technicians.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of technicians and apprentices to meet targets.
• Ensure servicing work is carried out correctly, on time, with customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, health and safety and manufacturer policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless service.
• Schedule work to meet customer needs and parts availability.
• Provide estimates for servicing and repairs and set timescales.
• Accurately record technician time and write reports.
