Job summary

Marshall Jaguar Land Rover Oxford is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a busy service workshop, motivating technicians and ensuring excellent service delivery and operational efficiency. The role is full-time (45 hours per week) with Saturday mornings on a rota.

Salary is £39,609 basic with £54,608 OTE, plus life assurance, pension, and exclusive employee perks, including discounts on servicing and purchases.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, ideally in a franchised dealership environment.
• Ability to motivate a team and maintain a professional, calm approach.
• Proficient IT skills with EVHC software experience.
• Strong problem-solving mindset to anticipate and resolve operational barriers.
• Commitment to delivering great results and a supportive working environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of technicians to meet daily workshop demands.
• Allocate job cards and manage workloads to maximise productivity.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets brand standards and drive service success via time management.
• Oversee workshop solutions including EVHC and service booking systems.
• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone, supporting the Service Advisor team as required.
