Job summary

Listers Group Limited is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller for our Porsche Dealership in Hull. Hours are 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis.

You will manage workflow, liaise between service advisors and technicians, and drive maximum productivity in the workshop while ensuring an excellent customer experience. Your role includes KPI achievement and coordinating resources to complete all work on time.

Qualifications

• This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked within a dealership as either a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman or Experienced Workshop Controller.
• Unlimited confidence, resilience, drive, energy and talent.
• A well-presented individual with a desire, character and attitude to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
• Manage a team of Technicians ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
• Provide focused management to the service department team, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Ensure processes are always adhered to.
• Conduct regular process reviews with your Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify.
• Manage the performance of the workshop to ensure that KPI targets are achieved.
• Manage and plan workshop / support resources to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled.
• Support the department team as required and ensure that all work is completed on time.
• Support the service department with specifications and coding of non-standard, complex jobs and ensure all such work is approved with customers prior to any work being started.
• Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer (Retail or Internal.)
