Job summary

Pembrook Resourcing LTD is recruiting an experienced Workshop Controller to lead day-to-day workshop operations at our Dagenham service centre. You will allocate work, monitor productivity, coach technicians and uphold quality, safety and manufacturer standards.

The role offers a £32,000 basic salary with a potential to earn up to £53,000 OTE, plus a strong bonus structure, ongoing manufacturer training and clear career progression within a modern, professional workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Workshop Controller or similar in the motor trade.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostics.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Allocating work to technicians based on skill and workload.
• Monitoring productivity and ensuring timely job completion.
• Motivating the workshop team to meet targets.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety, and manufacturer compliance.
• Liaising with Service Department to update customers on progress.
• Assisting with technical queries and maintaining customer satisfaction.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy and successful dealership in Dagenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of workshop operations, ensuring maximum productivity, efficiency and high standards of workmanship while supporting a team of skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Allocating work efficiently to technicians based on skill set and workload.
• Monitoring workshop productivity and ensuring jobs are completed on time.
• Supporting and motivating the workshop team to achieve performance targets.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and manufacturer compliance.
• Liaising with the Service Department to ensure customers are kept informed of repair progress.
• Assisting with technical queries and ensuring an excellent level of customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician or Workshop Supervisor within the motor trade.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic understanding.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Full UK driving licence.
