Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking a Workshop Controller/Warranty Administrator in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. The role balances workshop control with warranty administration to support a busy service department.

You will assign work, supervise technicians, monitor operations, and handle warranty claims and payments, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction. This is a Monday–Friday, no-weekend position with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, or similar role.
• Proven experience supervising or managing technicians.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repairs, workshop processes, and warranty procedures.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good IT literacy with keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of warranty administration preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assigning work to technicians based on skills, workload, and deadlines.
• Leading and supporting a team of technicians to ensure high standards and productivity.
• Monitoring workshop operations and ensuring timely completion of jobs.
• Checking and authorising job cards and technician write-ups.
• Costing additional repairs and supporting upselling initiatives.
• Performing vehicle health checks and quality assurance.
• Communicating effectively with customers and Service Advisors.
• Processing warranty claims accurately and efficiently.
• Managing warranty payments, credit notes, and schedules to ensure compliance.
