Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is offering a Workforce Information Assistant Apprentice (Band 2) on a 24-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on supporting the ESR system, data management, and reporting for Workforce staff, with full training provided in ESR and Excel.

37.5 hours per week, based in Hereford, with possible on-site meetings as needed. The successful candidate will work within the Workforce Information Systems Team, collaborating with HR colleagues, and contributing to data integrity

Qualifications

5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Mathematics
NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Administration or equivalent
ICDL/ECDL Level 2 IT qualification or equivalent IT experience
Effective Verbal and Written communication skills
Competent in IT skills including Microsoft Office
Good questioning and information gathering skills

Responsibilities

Maintain the computerised ESR system and update the self-service hierarchy
Ensure data quality within the systems through data quality/cleansing reports
Assist in information extraction from the systems
Produce and circulate weekly/monthly/quarterly reports with statistics and visuals
Support ESR system administration duties (e.g. password support)
Provide cover for the team and assist as needed
Handle ESR Self Service user queries by phone with reference to Trust policies
