Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Work Coach for the Northeast Scotland region, including Arbroath. The role involves helping customers access welfare and employment opportunities with Universal Credit, ESA, JSA, and related benefits across face-to-face, digital and phone channels.

You will build knowledge of local job openings, provide tailored coaching, and carry a caseload while complying with the Equality Act 2010. This is a full-time, on-site position within the DWP environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to customers claiming Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support.
• Offering quality advice to customers about job search actions and matching to suitable vacancies.
• Meeting your legal duty to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and ensuring access to services.
• Building positive relationships with customers to motivate and build trust.
• Developing an in-depth knowledge of local employment opportunities and partner support.
• Making timely decisions and referring customers to appropriate help and support.
• Be accountable for performance and management of your caseload.
