Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Dalkeith is recruiting a Work Coach to assist Universal Credit customers and jobseekers in achieving employment. The role involves on-site work within the DWP estate, with a blend of face-to-face, digital, and telephone contact, delivering high-service support with empathy.

You will develop local opportunity knowledge, guide job-search actions, and help customers access appropriate services while upholding Equality Act requirements and delivering an inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience advising customers and guiding them to work-search actions.
• Ability to comply with Equality Act 2010 and provide necessary support.
• Strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of local employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Universal Credit, ESA, JSA and Income Support claimants.
• Offer quality job-search guidance and match to vacancies in a largely digital environment.
• Build positive relationships with customers to motivate and support progress.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of local employment opportunities and partner services.
• Make timely decisions based on customer needs and refer to appropriate help.
• Be accountable for performance and caseload management.
• Maintain adherence to the Disability Confident employer scheme.
