An innovative education provider is seeking a part-time VT2 Wood Machinist Workshop Supervisor to support teaching in woodworking courses at their Oxford campus. The role involves applying woodworking skills to create a safe learning environment, collaborating with educators, and overseeing workshop safety. Applicants are expected to have substantial knowledge in woodworking and experience with machinery. We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to work within the Rycotewood HE Wood machine Workshop based in Oxford.
This role is a great way to apply your skills with woodworking machines to create a safe learning environment, while taking a step into education to work alongside our teachers in delivering furniture courses to students.
You’ll work within our dedicated HE wood machine workshop, which is used by learners on our courses from level 1 or 2 apprenticeships, and our Foundation and BA (hons) programme and short courses.
This is a permanent, part‑time role working 29.5 hours per week (0.8 FTE) at our City of Oxford College Campus, with the exact arrangement of those hours flexible for the right candidate.
