Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help women in an Approved Premises as they transition back into the community. You will create a safe, structured environment where confidence, independence and practical life skills can grow, with training provided and a focus on safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Working across day and night shifts on a 4-on/4-off rota, you will engage residents with daily living skills, wellbeing activities, and keep accurate records while

Qualifications

• Gender-specific role requires women candidates per Equality Act 2010.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to cover rotating day/night shifts.
• Empathetic and resilient with professional boundaries.
• Confident communication and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Build positive professional relationships with residents.
• Deliver daily living skills, wellbeing and leisure sessions.
• Welcome and induct new residents into the service.
• Promote a safe, supportive living environment.
• Carry out welfare and building checks.
• Record information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with criminal justice and support agencies for positive outcomes.
• Act as Fire Warden and First Aider when required.
