Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Residential Support Worker to assist adults in a structured residential service connected with the criminal justice system. You will help provide a stable environment from arrival through to move-on, working with colleagues and external agencies to support activities, safeguarding and accurate records.

You will contribute to a safe setting and liaise with probation, police, health and housing services to support residents’ needs and reintegration, including practical

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Understanding safeguarding is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Shifts include evenings, nights, waking nights and weekends.
• Empathetic and discreet when handling confidential issues.
• Fully mobile within multi-floor properties accessed by stairs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and to Prevent/modern British values.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents throughout their stay.
• Support structured activity sessions.
• Maintain clear and accurate electronic case records.
• Help maintain a safe, secure and stable environment.
• Collaborate with probation, police, health and housing services.
• Follow organisational procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Work with colleagues to meet resident needs.
• Carry out basic domestic or cooking duties as required.
