AWD online is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Newcastle upon Tyne. This part-time, permanent role supports adults in a structured residential setting within a Criminal Justice Project, promoting safety, routines and independence.

It involves 30 hours weekly on a rota including evenings and nights, with access to benefits and enhanced DBS checks. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to provide safeguarding and positive behaviour support, maintain records and

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding.
• Able to work independently without guidance as well as within a team.
• Able to work shifts covering evenings, nights, waking nights and weekends.
• Empathetic, with the tact and discretion to handle confidential and sensitive issues.
• Experience of working within a residential setting and with people in the criminal justice system.

Responsabilités

• Engage with residents throughout their stay.
• Support structured sessions that promote positive routines.
• Maintain clear and accurate electronic case records.
• Help maintain a safe, secure and stable environment.
• Work with probation, police, health and housing services.
• Follow organisational procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet resident needs.
