Job summary

Majestic Wine Rickmansworth is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will engage customers, manage stock and assist with deliveries, while upholding brand standards and safety policies.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, available 12 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract until 24 December 2026. Evening and weekend work are essential, and opportunities exist for development within Majestic’s

• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive business growth and loyalty.
• Act as a VIP concierge, updating customers on products and tastings.
• Sell the story, with in-depth knowledge of our range.
• Own wine knowledge and support WSET qualification and selling confidence.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and upkeep both inside and outside.
• Participate in day-to-day operational tasks such as deliveries, merchandising and customer calls.
• Identify improvement opportunities to optimise store operations and share ideas with the team.
• Ensure compliance, safety, and training requirements are met.
• Be a resource for junior team members and report to Store Manager.
