Job summary

Majestic Wine Group in Witney is seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant to help drive sales and run the store day-to-day. You will deliver outstanding customer service, support KPI delivery and act as a brand ambassador for Majestic.

This fixed-term role requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and involves driving a company van. The role offers a 12-hour weekly schedule, with a starting pay of £12.71 per hour and opportunities to progress through in-house training.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Passion for wine with willingness to learn and develop (WSET level 2).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximizing sales opportunities and supporting targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to grow business through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge-style service, updating customers on products and tastings.
• Sell the story and deepen product knowledge to support selling wine.
• Take ownership of wine knowledge and pursue WSET qualification as needed.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in day-to-day tasks: deliveries, merchandising, inventory and customer follow-ups.
• Identify improvements to optimise store operations and share ideas with the team.
