Job summary

Majestic Wine Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a dynamic Sales Assistant to support the store team in driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service. You will help run the store, engage customers with product knowledge, and contribute to KPI targets while ensuring wine expertise grows to support WSET level 2.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence (12+ months) with up to 6 penalty points, and availability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive when working alone or as part of a team.
• Passion for wine with willingness to learn (level 2 WSET).
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months with <=6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet targets.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge service, contacting customers with product updates and tastings.
• Sell the story of our products through in-depth knowledge of our range.
• Maintain wine knowledge and support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
• Assist with store opening/closing compliance and maintain presentation of the store.
• Support day-to-day operations including deliveries, merchandising and customer calls to drive sales.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and share ideas with the wider team.
• Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies and training.
• Be a source of support for junior team members and assist the Store Manager as appropriate.
