Job summary

Majestic Wine in Macclesfield is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales and manage day-to-day operations. You will deliver first‑class customer service and promote our wine range, supporting VIP updates and tastings.

You will be responsible for learning our product stories, expanding your wine knowledge, and working 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with driving duties as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone or in a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn about wine.
• Current full UK manual driving licence (12+ months).
• Willingness to complete Level 2 WSET.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and KPI delivery.
• Deliver market-leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge service, updating customers on products and tastings.
• Share passion for wine and knowledge to sell stories, not discounts.
• Own wine knowledge and pursue WSET level 2 confidently.
• Maintain store appearance and handling daily operations, deliveries, merchandising.
