Job summary

Majestic Wine is seeking a Sales Assistant in Manchester to support the store team in driving sales and managing daily operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and actively engage with customers on products and tastings, while maintaining the store’s appearance and stock management.

A full UK manual driving licence is required, and you must be able to work evenings and weekends across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive loyalty and sales.
• Self-motivated team player who can work independently when needed.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, both spoken and written.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn is essential (level 2 WSET aim).
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends and across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and delivering KPI targets.
• Provide market-leading customer service to nurture loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer a VIP concierge level of service and actively update customers on products and tastings.
• Sell the story of wine through in-depth product knowledge and enthusiasm.
• Maintain store appearance and manage day-to-day operations, including deliveries and stock.
