Job summary

Ross Care, a healthcare equipment provider partnering with the NHS, is seeking Field Service Engineers to join the Surrey Wheelchair Service team. You will complete initial training in the workshop reconditioning wheelchair equipment to gain essential product knowledge, then work in the field delivering, collecting, repairing and servicing wheelchairs, aiming for first-time fixes.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, enhanced DBS, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS check disclosed.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• Basic electronic knowledge and safety awareness.
• Ability to use a mobile device for photos and notes.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting wheelchairs to homes and NHS sites.
• Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field to achieve first-time fixes.
• Complete paperwork with parts used and actions taken.
• Ensure PPE and safety procedures are followed.
• Attend out-of-hours duties when rostered and maintain vehicle.
• Keep vehicle clean, stock parts, and perform weekly safety checks.
• Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and update records.
