Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a West Yorkshire secondary school recruit a confident School Site Manager to oversee daily premises operations. The role is permanent and full-time, with responsibility for site maintenance, security and safety across the campus.

You'll work with senior leaders and external contractors to keep facilities well-presented, compliant and ready for learning, balancing urgent needs with planned maintenance and future improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management, facilities management, maintenance or a related operational role is preferred.
• Sound understanding of building upkeep, health and safety, statutory compliance and premises security.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
• Ability to organise workloads, manage priorities and respond effectively to unexpected issues.
• Confidence working independently and coordinating contractors, maintenance tasks or site personnel where required.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to complete the necessary checks.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general site upkeep and campus maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance requirements and respond to issues.
• Identify potential problems before they escalate and address compliance needs.
• Work with senior leadership, staff and external contractors to balance daily tasks with wider needs.
• Ensure the premises meet operational and safety standards for staff and students.
