Job summary

Teaching Personnel is supporting a welcoming community secondary school in Bradford, recruiting a dedicated Site Manager. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary of £28,000–£34,000 per annum DOE with immediate start.

You will manage security, maintenance, and health & safety, coordinate contractors, and ensure a safe, well-presented environment for staff and students. School-experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager, Estates Officer or similar.
• Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing the security and day-to-day operation of the school premises.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and health & safety checks.
• Opening and closing the school site, including alarm and security procedures.
• Overseeing contractors and external service providers.
• Conducting regular inspections of buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Maintaining school grounds to a high standard.
• Supporting with room setups for exams, meetings and school events.
• Keeping accurate maintenance and compliance records.
