Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Facilities Coordinator at Velindre Cancer Centre in Wales to coordinate maintenance, manage the helpdesk, and support compliance to ensure a safe, well-run healthcare environment for patients and staff.

Welsh language ability is essential; you will communicate in Welsh and English. The role requires experience with facilities/maintenance coordination, CAFM/helpdesk systems, and strong IT skills to create reports and trackers.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating facilities, maintenance or helpdesk services in a structured environment and knowledge of statutory compliance.
• Proficiency with CAFM or helpdesk systems and strong IT skills (MS Office, Excel) for reporting.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the helpdesk service and log, prioritise, and resolve requests within agreed timescales.
• Schedule and monitor planned preventive maintenance and statutory compliance activities (fire safety, water hygiene, electrical and gas safety).
• Manage reactive maintenance and coordinate subcontractors with documentation and safety records.
• Maintain compliance registers, certificates and audit-ready documentation across facilities systems.
• Support commercial administration: raise purchase orders, prepare reports, and track performance against SLAs.
