Job summary

Kier Group in Cardiff seeks a Technical Manager: Electrical to lead electrical services at Velindre Cancer Centre under a 25-year service contract. The 40-hour role covers mobilisation ahead of March 2027, commissioning and ongoing operations with maintenance and subcontractor management.

You will ensure compliance with building services standards, manage BMS and safety, and build strong relationships with stakeholders throughout mobilisation and operations.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in electrical/building services engineering.
• Post-qualification experience in a healthcare technical management role.
• Experience managing hard facilities maintenance and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of building services regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical technical delivery ensuring contractual compliance.
• Participate in commissioning during construction and mobilisation, reviewing documentation.
• Manage maintenance delivery and performance, coordinating access, isolations and permits.
• Select, appoint and manage maintenance team and sub-contractors, ensuring calibre and performance.
• Monitor service performance and documentation, manage BMS and safety compliance.
