Welsh-Speaking Cover Supervisors

Are you a confident Welsh speaker with experience working with children and a passion for education?

Elementa Support Services is working closely with primary and secondary schools across Wales to recruit Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support classrooms and ensure continuity of learning.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience, make a real impact in Welsh‑medium education, and develop your career within the education sector.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Support pupils with their learning and engagement

• Communicate confidently in Welsh to support Welsh‑medium and bilingual settings

• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school‑based experience desirable)

• Strong classroom presence and confidence managing groups of learners

• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply – we can help)

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (or willingness to register)
