Job summary

A recruiting agency is seeking skilled Welders for a contract role in Milton Keynes. Candidates should be proficient in MIG welding and able to perform various types of welds including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead. A minimum Level 2 qualification in welding/fabrication is necessary. Candidates must also pass a rail industry standard medical and drug and alcohol tests. A weld test is required prior to being offered start dates.

Job description

TXM Recruit are currently looking to put a team of Welders together on a contract basis for a rail client in Milton Keynes. The team will be performing corrosion removal on various fleets of rolling stock vehicles; you will need to be able to weld in the following positions.

As a Welder you would be carrying out a variety of welds, including flat, vertical, horizontal and overhead.

The successful candidate must:

• Be able to MIG weld to a strong standard.
• Be able to pass a rail industry standard medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in welding/fabrication.
• A weld test will be required prior to start dates being offered, as well as pass a rail standard medical and drugs & alcohol.
