Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller at the Port of Liverpool to manage the traffic system, operate the SCADA and weighbridge safely, and ensure accurate ticketing and compliance. The role involves coordinating with engineers and team leaders to support vessel discharge, storage activities and efficient product movement.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service, excellent communication, and IT skills, with experience in bulk handling desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a weighbridge or managing traffic in an operational environment.
• Strong communication with engineers, operatives and team leaders.
• Good IT skills and ability to use a range of software packages, including Microsoft.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure safe site operation.
• Operate the SCADA system and process tickets in line with procedures.
• Weigh vehicles accurately as they enter and leave the site.
• Coordinate with crews to discharge vessels and manage storage movements.
• Support timely vehicle turnaround and report delays to the Shift Supervisor.
