Job summary

Specsavers Taunton is looking for a proactive Trainee Optical Assistant. No prior optics experience needed; you’ll enjoy sales and help build an outstanding store environment for customers and our team, ensuring every patient receives the best care.

Training will be provided with progression opportunities and a supportive team in the centre of Taunton. Weekend hours, up to 16 hours weekly, with potential full-time work for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable.
• Sales experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and progress in optical retail.

As a Trainee Optical Assistant, you don’t need to have previous optics experience, you just need to enjoy sales, be prepared to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team, and make sure every patient receives the best care in our stores.

Our team

Training provided by a friendly and knowledgable team with exciting progression opportunities - Cert 3, Cert 4 (BTech equivalents) and Dispensing Optician qualifications are all available for the right candidate!
