Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Patient Administrator for the Main Reception on weekends at West Middlesex Hospital. Working Saturdays and Sundays, 9am–5pm, you will provide a high-quality patient-focused reception service in Outpatient Reception, with potential cross-site weekend shifts.

The closing date is 16 November 2026. You will have reception experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to use the hospital

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
English & Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
Able to use hospital patient administration system

Responsibilities

Provide a customer focused reception service for all patients and visitors attending the area, dealing with queries where possible and directing them accordingly
Interact with patients and relatives in a sensitive and empathetic manner
Process follow up appointments as patients leave the department in line with guidelines, recording on the system within 24 working hours
Assist patients to locate relatives who are current inpatients and to use the electronic check-in service updating demographics where necessary
