Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group in Nottingham is hiring Housing Duty Workers to oversee building operations and support residents in our city centre housing provision. The role focuses on safety, admin tasks, and frontline care during weekend shifts; the weekly schedule totals 23 hours across Friday and Saturday nights.

You will assist residents with advice, collect rent queries, respond to alarms, manage incidents, and liaise with other agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in supported housing for vulnerable young people.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to handle difficult situations and de-escalate conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to residents and assist with daily needs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Assist with administration, rent queries, and tenant obligations.
• Maintain building safety including fire safety and cleaning support.
• Coordinate with police and agencies as needed.
• Signpost residents to other services.
