Job summary

Hillier Nurseries Limited part-time Garden Centre Assistant wanted for weekend work at our Horsham location. You will help customers, offer plant advice, process transactions and keep the centre tidy and well-stocked. Training is provided and 6 hours guaranteed per week with extra hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and help customers with queries.
Give helpful advice on plants and gardening products.
Maintain health and appearance of plants; water, prune, inspect for pests or disease.
Replenish, price, rotate and display stock to company standards.
Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions.
Support stock control, deliveries, wastage and reductions.
Promote the Hillier Gardening Club to customers.
Keep the centre and facilities clean, tidy and safe.
Report health and safety hazards.
Assist the garden centre restaurant or cafe on occasion.
