Job summary

LQ Resorts in Oswestry is seeking a proactive Wedding and Events Co-ordinator to join our Sales and Marketing team. You will maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by negotiating events and coordinating with other departments to deliver flawless weddings and functions.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organisation, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. You will lead show rounds, manage contracts, and support guests from inquiry to payment, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating events and selling services.
• Calm under pressure during busy periods.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent presentation and organisational skills.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximise wedding and events revenue by applying group strategies.
• Prepare function sheets and ensure up-to-date diaries.
• Conduct show rounds and open evenings with the team.
• Coordinate event contracts, pre-block accommodations and payments.
• Build relationships with planners through Meet & Greet.
• Attend weekly meetings and feed back key business information.
