Job summary

LQ Resorts is seeking a Wedding and Events Co-ordinator to join our Sales and Marketing team at Weston Rhyn. You will maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by negotiating Meetings, Events, Weddings and Function business, coordinating execution with other departments and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead show rounds and open evenings, manage function sheets, and drive proactive sales activity across our events portfolio.

Qualifications

• GCSEs with grade C/4 in Math and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Sales experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience dealing with customer complaints.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• High standards of presentation and organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Efficient and confident with face-to-face and phone communications.
• Flexible multitasking and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and manage exceptional standards of customer care – face to face and remotely.
• Ensure enquiries for events are dealt with efficiently on the day.
• Ensure client show rounds and open evenings are well-executed with the team.
• Produce accurate function sheets to assist operations.
• Keep diaries and systems up to date at all times.
• Achieve events revenue goals via strategies from the Group Sales and Marketing Manager.
• Meet & Greet with event planners to build relationships with clients.
• Engage with existing and new clients through show rounds, lunches and fam trips.
• Minimise guest complaints.
• Attend meetings and required training.
• Check VIP status and communicate with the team.
• Pre-block event accommodation and follow release clauses.
• Prepare events contracts and chase signatures timely.
• Ensure events are prepaid or coordinate credit with Finance.
• Deliver quarterly open evenings and Bridal Fairs.
• Monitor client feedback and follow up with the team.
• Maintain quality data in all databases.
• Carry out proactive sales activity for events.
• Perform pricing reviews and competitor analyses.
