Job summary

South Lodge, part of Exclusive Collection, is seeking an organised Events Coordinator to turn client visions into memorable experiences from enquiry through delivery. The role sits within a luxury country-house hotel and spa set in Sussex countryside.

You will manage enquiries, build client relationships and coordinate weddings, conferences and private events, while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure flawless delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event coordination, conference and events, weddings, hospitality sales or a customer-focused hospitality role.
• Passion for delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities.
• Professional, positive and confident when working with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage event enquiries and client communications from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service throughout the event journey.
• Conduct venue show rounds and client consultations.
• Coordinate all aspects of weddings, conferences, corporate events, celebrations and special occasions.
• Prepare proposals, contracts and event documentation in line with company standards.
• Work closely with suppliers and operational teams to ensure flawless event delivery.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and maximise revenue.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvements.
• Contribute creative ideas and industry insights to support business growth.
• Maintain compliance with relevant health, safety and licensing requirements.
