Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Waterfront Multi Skilled Operative - Lift Supervisor to join HMNB Clyde near Helensburgh. You will provide MSO support and supervise lifting operations in a busy waterfront environment, adhering to LOLER and BS7121 regulations and following established lift plans.

You must hold relevant lifting qualifications and a valid Driving Licence B, with a track record of safe, compliant operations and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with LOLER, BS7121 and related regs.
• Experience operating base Mobile Cranes.
• Experience using Service Logistic Derricks (SLDs) on Valiant Jetty.
• Experience operating EOT cranes in Shiplift Facility.
• Ability to operate Diesel Counterbalance Forklifts.
• Knowledge of Waterfront operational activities (berthing & slips).

Responsibilities

• Provide MSO support for lifting operations and maintenance.
• Supervise safe lifting following lift plans and SOPs.
• Suggest improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Mentor lifting crew and guide operations as directed by the Appointed Person.
• Report non-conformances and incidents to line management.
