Job summary

Babcock invites applications for a Waterfront Multi Skilled Operative - Lift Supervisor at Faslane, Helensburgh. You will provide multi-skilled support to the Waterfront Department and supervise lifting operations in line with LOLER and BS7121 standards.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Driving Licence (Category B), Slinging Signaller certification, and SC security clearance. You’ll work to maintain safe lifting practices and support maintenance and infrastructure tasks across the jetty

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LOLER, BS7121 and related regulations.
• Experience with safe operation of base Mobile Cranes.
• Experience with Service Logistic Derricks (SLD) on jetty facilities.
• Experience with EOT cranes in shiplift facilities.
• Ability to operate Diesel Counterbalance Forklifts.
• Understanding of Waterfront operations and berth preps.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Waterfront, maintaining and operating lifting tasks.
• Supervise lifting operations and ensure safe practices throughout lifts.
• Suggest improvements to increase productivity and adhere to schedules.
• Mentor lifting crew and lead lift supervisor activities per plans.
• Report non-conformances and incidents to management.
